At a social event held at the Hodges Bay Club, the delegates were formally
introduced to the audience comprising of sponsors, members of the commission
and media representatives.
The contestants also chose the number in which they will appear in the pageant.
They are:

Minister responsible for the Creative Industries, Daryll Matthew, said Carnival
represents a period of heightened economic activities, and that it was important for
those who benefit to have the moral persuasion to contribute to the festival in some
way.
He said the event at Hodges Bay Club was an effort by the commission to build a
relationship with those who have invested in the festival, and he likened their
involvement as a partnership, one that needed to be nurtured.
The Queen of Carnival competition is being organized by a committee headed by
Brucella Marsh-Sutton and Shayne Marsh of Marsh and Marsh Productions.
Brucella noted that it is important to invest in girls and women, as studies have
shown that such investments are good for the society as a whole. She noted that
pageants have helped many women to achieve their set goals and encouraged all to
support the seven contestants.
The Queen of Carnival Show will have five judged segments; Swimwear,
Costume, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview. The theme of the pageant is
‘Enchanted’.
