One day after police announced Tevin Roacher’s death as the 10th homicide of 2022, that figure has now jumped to eleven.

The Jamaican woman who was found dead in her home last October, has been ruled a homicide.

Initially, it was thought that the 23-year-old former employee of Cheetahs Nightclub had died of natural causes.

The Tindale Road resident was discovered on a bed in her home, partially dressed and foaming at the mouth, by her employer at 9:18pm on 22nd October, 2022.

The visit to check on her was prompted by her failure to show up for work that night.

Police did not immediately suspect foul play as there were no visible marks on her body when it was discovered.

A postmortem conducted last week determined that the woman, who has not been named by police, died of strangulation.

With the autopsy now completed, plans are reportedly being made to return her body to her family in Jamaica for burial.
