Cutie’s Ovals Young Guns and Caribbean Pharmaceuticals Fearless Crew1 recorded wins in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association’s (ABBA) Second Division at the JSC Sports Complex on Saturday, 28th January.
Baldwin Anthony shot a game high 33 points and 18 rebounds to lead Cutie’s Ovals Young Guns to a 68 – 44 victory against Wadadli Elites2 in the first game of a Zone 2 double header.
Jayleyle Joseph sank 10 points and eight rebounds while De-Lomge Jules chipped in with 10 points for the winners.
Joshua Archibald converted 14 points and Devante Carter scored 13 points, with 7 steals, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Wadadli Elites2.
Fearless Crew1 snatched a 68 – 63 victory against Flyers2 in the second game of the double header. R
afiki Harris scored 17 points, Mahki Carbon converted 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while Alex Williams sank 10 points with 7 rebounds for Fearless Crew1.
Javonte Daley scored 19 points and pulled down 7 rebounds, Adrian Carnegie had 15 points and six steals and Jaheem James sank 11 points for Flyers2.
Meanwhile, Old Road Daggers overcame Wadadli Elites1 by 9 points on Thursday, 26th January.
Ariel Quallis produced an impressive all-round performance to lead Old Road Daggers to a 97 – 86 victory in the Zone 1 affair.
Quallis shot a game high of 52 points, 19 rebounds, 7 steals and 7 blocked shots.
He was well supported by Ezekiel Francis, who scored 29 points with 23 rebounds and 7 blocked shots.
Teammate Victor Osbourne chipped in with 14 points for the winners.
Wadadli Elites1 were led by point guard Tequan Brodie with 24 points.
Shaheim O’marde scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Jamie Robinson sank 13 points and Orion Seraphine chipped in with 10 points for Wadadli Elites1.
The ABBA Second Division continues with a Zone 2 double header at the JSC Sports Complex today.
Daryll Matthew’s Ottos Clippers will meet the Gaston Browne’s Pointville Ballers at 6:45pm while Wadadli Elites2 will take on Caribbean Pharmaceuticals Fearless Crew1 at 8:30pm.
