Efforts to locate a missing 19-year-old Willikies boy have intensified.

Shamar, who is affected by autism, also has special medical needs which require him to receive prescription medications daily.

When the teen was last seen almost 72 hours ago, he was wearing a black and white shirt with light blue jeans and his favourite pink backpack.

He is 5 feet 3 inches tall, of dark complexion and has a childlike disposition, according to the family.

The family have stressed that he is harmless and may be in distress as he would not have had a meal since his disappearance on Monday or access to his twice daily medications.

The family are appealing to anyone with information to contact them directly on 789-5164, 776-3911 or 726-3812 or the nearest police station.
