Three individuals who the police arrested over the weekend and charged for suspicion of Larceny are expected in court this week, perhaps as early as today (Monday). Two of the three face an additional charge for the unlawful possession of cannabis.

According to police reports, around 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, 17 May, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence in Martin’s Village and seized three (3) air-conditioning units and a quantity of plant-like material resembling the controlled drug cannabis.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of larceny and unlawful possession of cannabis and taken to the St. John’s Police Station along with the seized items and a motor vehicle.

In a separate incident, a Lightfoot resident was arrested and taken into custody for questioning in connection with allegations of larceny.  A vehicle was also seized in the process and taken to the police headquarters for investigation purposes.

The police are continuing their investigations into the incidents.
