The Rotary Club of Antigua recently hosted a Christmas party for 150 primary school children.

The party is an annual event organised by the non-profit charity, however this year signalled the return of the event after a two-year break forced by the pandemic.

The club said that it will return to hosting the customary 500 children in both Antigua and Barbuda next year.

The schools represented were T. N, Kirnon, Green Bay, Five Islands, J. T. Ambrose, Cedar Grove, Bendals, Potters, Pares, Jennings and New Winthorpes.

The children were treated to a day of fun which included face painting, a bounce castle, games and snacks.

Although Santa did not arrive chauffeured by the Fire Brigade in a fire tender this year, the children were all happy to greet him on foot as he made a grand entrance at Rotary House.

Each child was presented with a gift from Santa.

The Rotary Club of Antigua’s motto is “Service Above Self”.

The 2022-2023 Rotary International theme is “Imagine Rotary”.
