Water Business Unit Manager, Ian Lewis, reported that the interruptions occurred because of “…moisture accumulating in electrical boxes that power the individual plants”.

This accumulation of moisture followed the passage of Tropical Storm Fiona last month which forced the closure of the plant to conduct repairs to the damaged electrical units.

He indicated that the Crabbes plant is once again fully operational, and that water production has returned to the former seven million gallons per day.
