Suspended police officer in more legal ‘hot water!’

Police Officer Jason Modeste was on Thursday granted bail when he appeared in
the District A Magistrate’s Court on charges of battery and obstruction.
Modeste, who has been suspended from the Royal Police Force of Antigua is one
of four people on trial for murder, in the death of Bruce Greenaway in April 2020.
In the latest incident, Modeste is accused of committing the crimes against another
police officer at a club in Jolly Harbour.
Before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel-Edwards in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court on
Thursday, Modeste was granted bail in the sum of $3,000.00 with a cash
component of $1,000.00.
Part of his bail condition includes reporting to the police station closest to his
residence three days a week.
He is scheduled to return to court on 13 th September.
Jason Modeste is represented by Attorney Wendel Robinson.
He remains on bail on the murder charge.
