Glentist “The Dentist” Martin stamped his authority on the field to win his maiden golf title during the Patricia Matthew Mother’s Day Golf Classic at Cedar Valley on Sunday.
Martin was in outstanding form as his 18-hole score of 84 propelled him to victory in the Total Imports, and Tucker on the Grill sponsored tournament.
Paullus Martin, the older brother of Glentist, finished as the runner-up with a score of 86 while former West Indies One Day International player Sylvester “Bouncing” Joseph, who came home with 88, was third.
Eleven players took part in the competition.
The championship also received sponsorship from Kay-Links.
The next event on the calendar will be the Cool and Smooth Shoot-Out on Whit Monday.
