Jennings United regain top spot in ABFA Second Division

Jennings United have regained the lead in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association’s (ABFA) Second Division League.

Jennings United kept their perfect record intact by overcoming Blackburn Palace 3 – 0 at the ABFA Technical Center on Wednesday, to overtake Attacking Saints at the top of the standings.

Jean Pierre Williams scored twice with goals in the 33rd and 67th minutes while Deionte Harrigan had the other conversion for Jennings United in the 51st minute.

Their seventh win in as many matches lifted Jennings United back to the top of the standings with 21 points, 2 points ahead of Attacking Saints who are now in second place.

Attacking Saints have also played one game more than Jennings United.

A fifth loss in six matches has left Blackburn Palace second from bottom of the standings on three points.

CPTSA Wings recorded their second win in seven matches by pulling off a 3 – 1 victory over Young Warriors at the St Johnston’s Village playing field.

Dorian Meade scored twice for Wings with goals in the 5th and 50th minutes while a Marques Gordon conversion in the 27th minute secured the third goal.

K’Vonte Lewis scored a consolation goal for Young Warriors in the 65th minute.

Their second win in seven matches lifted Wings to six points, a figure shared by Young Warriors who lost for the fifth time in seven outings.

Real Blizzard secured their fourth win in seven matches by snatching a 2 – 1 victory over FC Master Ballerz at the ABFA Technical Center.

Taharie James scored both goals for Real Blizzard with conversions in the 26th and 40th minutes.

Shem Dascent scored for FC Master Ballerz in the 33rd minute.

The result lifted Real Blizzard to 13 points, while their fourth loss in seven matches ensured that FC Master Ballers remained in the lower half of the standings with five points.
