Two students from the Nelvie N Gore Primary School (formerly Willikies
Primary) were the recipients of tablets for their outstanding achievement in the
nationally held, Grade Six Assessment Examinations.
The students – Felia Charles who scored 363 points and Kahalia James, 323 points
– were presented with the tablets by the area’s community activist, Randy
Baltimore.
They were presented with a Feonal10 inch Android 32GB tablet to assist with their
studies at their new high school the Antigua Girls High School.
During the brief presentation exercises, Baltimore encouraged the students to
continue on the same path to excellence during the secondary school stage of their
growth and development.
Baltimore said a third child – Michael Francis Jnr. from the Newfield Primary
School will also receive a tablet for his outstanding performance. Francis will
receive his tablet on his return from an overseas trip.
A fourth tablet was also presented, but due to religious reasons, the child’s name
has not been disclosed.
Baltimore has been making donations to the Nelvie N Gore Primary School for the
past several years. He was very instrumental in helping with the formation of a
steel band for the school and helped to raise donations from other sources to the
educational institution.
