Beatrice Thomas was born on May 5th, 1924 however, her documents from the
Official Records named 3 rd May, 1924 and so from childhood she has always
celebrated on 3 rd and 5 th May. Beatrice was born at Christian Hill to Adelaide Smith
and Theophilus Thomas who were both from the same community.
In her early years she washed, ironed, cooked, sewed and worked for the
Blanchards and Mamora Bay which is now called St. James where she enjoyed
working. She loved doing pastries and learned valuable skills from her parents.
She is very collective and lives with her two (2) children Foster Payne and Lucinda
Payne. Beatrice is the grandmother of seven (7). She is also known as a hard-
working individual, she is kind, loving and a people person who is loved by her
community.
Beatrice is a Methodist and enjoys going to church on Sundays where she would
sing and worship God. Some of her favourite songs are Blessed Assurance and
The Lord is my Shepherd while her favourite passage of scripture is; let the word
of my mouth. One of her favorite sayings is; I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me. She also believes in Jesus and that he died for us and will
come again.
Her favorite foods are Fungi, Chop up, Fish & Pepperpot.
Pink is her favourite colour.
