Several United States colleges and universities are expected to participate in a college fair that opens in St. John’s today.

According to reliable sources the college fair is being organised by the Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Embassy in Barbados and will run over two days at the Sir John St. Luce Financial Centre on the Factory Road.

The event is dubbed the EducationUSA Eastern Caribbean Esports College & Career Fair 2022.

The college fair will provide an excellent occasion to promote funding opportunities for Antiguan and Barbudan youth in the United States.

“The fair will highlight the diversity of U.S. higher education with a variety of colleges and universities from across the United States in attendance.

“Participant institutions will provide information on Undergraduate or Short-Term programs available in one or more of the following areas: esports, game design, robotics, coding, augment and virtual reality, mobile app and web design, and artificial intelligence,” the source revealed.

Several local organisations have been invited to mount booths at the college fair with the expectation that they will provide critical information to the young people attending.
