The government of Antigua and Barbuda is joining a chorus of nations who have
come out against the attack by Palestinian Military group, Hamas on Saturday.
A statement from Foreign Affairs Minister, E.P. Chet Greene reads as follows:
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda condemns the terrorist assault on Israel
as we condemn terrorism everywhere.  No issue is solved by aggression and
conflict whose consequences are far-reaching and long-lasting, as the escalation
of the situation now shows.  We express our sorrow for the civilians who have been
killed and extend our deepest sympathy to their families.

On Sunday, the United Nations Security Council convened an emergency meeting
to discuss the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Group. So far,
more than 700 Israelis, many of whom were attending a music festival, have been
killed, and scores have also been abducted to be used as human shields in the
Israeli counter-offensive.
More than 400 Palestinians have been reported killed in Israeli retaliatory strikes
against Palestinian positions.
