Third seed Da Project and second seed Navigators have levelled their respective Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association’s (ABBA) best-of-three semi-final playoff series.
After losing the opening game 64-81 to second seed Total Imports EMC’s Potters Steelers, Da Project clinched a 95-82 victory in Game 2 at the JSC Sports Complex to level the Division 1 playoff series at 1-1.
Da Project was led by Bryan “Hollywood” Matthew, who shot a game-high 36 points and claimed nine rebounds, and Terry Dawkins with 18 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
In support, T-Shawn Lewis contributed 13 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists; Nyique Watkins produced 10 points, five rebounds, and five assists; and Donte Trimingham also scored 10 points for Da Project.
Devorn Benjamin sank 23 points; Raniq Nicholls produced 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds; Kareem Edwards converted 15 points and claimed six rebounds; Keroi Lee scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds; and Cohen Desouza contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for the Potters Steelers.
After losing the opening game 79-91 to third seed Spanish Heat 2, the Navigators romped to an 85-71 victory in Game 2 at the JSC Sports Complex to level the Division 2 playoff series at 1-1.
Ariel Quallis produced 22 points, 14 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists; Ricky Willock scored 17 points; Ryan Shepherd sank eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds; and Ralph Spooner converted eight points and snatched 10 rebounds for the Navigators.
Charlie Daniel sank 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds; Wester Baptiste converted 14 points and snatched eight rebounds; Jesus Emmanuel scored 13 points and claimed five rebounds; Erwin Rodriguez produced nine points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists; and Rohland Hamilton chipped in with six points and 17 rebounds for Spanish Heat 2.
