Wendell Robinson Gets Increased Security Following Death Threats
Tuesday 15th May, 2018 –Acting Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney has confirmed that the police force is investigating allegations of death threats made on suspended Commissioner of Police Wendell Robinson.
Robinson was suspended in April over accusations of questionable conduct involving several members of the Royal Police Force.
The Acting Commissioner said based on the reports,the force is providing Robinson with additional security.
In light of the allegations that arose, the Police Service Commission suspended Robinson on April 5th acting in accordance with section 16 (a) of the Police (Discipline) Regulations, cap 330 Volume 2 of the Laws of Antigua and Barbuda, Revised Edition 1992.
The letter also outlined that during his suspension, Robinson will be paid a suspension allowance at the rate paid under section 37 of the Police Act and in accordance with section 16 (2) of the Regulations.
The suspended top cop is now heading to challenge his suspension.
