Antigua and Barbuda and the government of Serbia have signed an agreement that
eliminates the need for citizens of either country to obtain an entry visa to facilitate
travel between them.
Details of the agreement were read in parliament on Thursday by the Minister of
Legal Affairs and Attorney General, Steadroy Benjamin.
According to Benjamin, the agreement contained a treaty that was presented to the
House of Representatives for its approval. “This happened in May 2023, when it
was agreed by both parties to abolish visa requirements between the two countries,
as the government moves to expand the tourism industry and other benefits that
may derive from this arrangement. However, for the agreement to be ratified it
must be brought to the parliament for approval,” Benjamin stated.
