Union Satisfied Following Talks With Scotiabank
Monday 14th January, 2019-The union representing employees of Scotiabank met today in St. John’s with executives of the financial institution to seek answers on how the sale of the bank to Republic Financial Holdings Ltd will affect those in its employ.
General Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union, David Massiah has expressed satisfaction at today’s talks.
With the union making its concerns known to officials, there are assurances that the bank will respond in a timely manner to the questions and queries put forward by Mr. Massiah.
No date has been set for the second meeting with Scotiabank.
Meantime, the union plans to update employees as early as tomorrow on the outcome of today’s meeting.
