UAIEN delegation convenes meeting in Antigua and Barbuda

Representatives of an organization known as the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations are currently meeting Antigua and Barbuda in what they described as their summit.

While here, the group has engaged in a number of activities including paying a courtesy call on high ranking officials of His Majesty’s Prison as Bishop Browne, Chairman of the Prison Visiting Committee pilots the vision to introduce inmates to “Restorative Yoga” in an effort to boost the effective rehabilitation of prisoners. Ambassador Moksh, a humanitarian, steeped in the disciplines of Yoga, stands ready to give support to the initiative ONLY to the extent suggested by Bishop Browne and his team.

Meanwhile, the group presented Bishop Browne an award for Interfaith Cooperation and Global Harmony on an occasion of special significance for the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations (UAN) as they Summit in Antigua and Barbuda.

Among those congratulating Bishop Browne is Governor General, Sir Rodney Williams who wrote, “I extend warmest congratulations to you on being conferred with the Kailasa Mitra Award in recognition of your distinguished service to Interfaith Cooperation and Global Harmony.

“This prestigious honour, bestowed during the historic Summit of the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations (UAN) recently held in Antigua and Barbuda, marks a moment of significance, not only for you personally but for the wider community of faith leaders and peacebuilders who gathered for the special occasion.

“As Governor General, I am pleased that one of our own has been internationally recognised for fostering unity and understanding across religious and cultural lines.”

In response, Bishop Browne stated, “I am truly grateful and humbled to have received this award.”
