The Trinidad Eye Hospital (TEH) team paid a courtesy call on Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Colin O’Keiffe, to provide an update on the number of cataract surgeries conducted during their ongoing visit to Antigua and Barbuda.

This marks the TEH’s first engagement with O’Keiffe since his recent transfer to the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs. During the meeting, representatives of the TEH expressed appreciation for the continued collaboration with the Ministry and reiterated their commitment to improving eye health across the nation.

Permanent Secretary O’Keiffe welcomed the update and expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening the partnership between the Ministry and the Trinidad Eye Hospital. He noted that improving access to cataract surgeries is a vital part of the Ministry’s broader mission to enhance the quality of life for all citizens.

The Ministry looks forward to the continued work and shared vision that will help bring better sight—and brighter futures—to the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
