Ms. Thyana Kai Sebastian is naturally a creative and optimistic being. Born
February 24 th , 1997, on the beautiful island of Antigua, she considers herself a
daughter of the soil. Her education began at the Cobbs Cross Primary School
followed by All Saints Secondary School where she participated in numerous
activities and proudly represented her alma mater.
In her formative years, Thyana began her dance training in Afro-Caribbean styles,
Jazz, and Modern Contemporary at the Antigua Dance Academy. Then, in 2007
along with her sisters, she formed The Elite Dancers Antigua, where she has been a
Principal Dance Choreographer. This has allowed her to impact the lives of others
through dance. Sebastian is also a Dance Instructor within the Ministry of
Education, Sports, and Creative Industries.
Her dreams are to travel the world, immersing herself in various cultures while
expanding her knowledge of the Performing Arts. Thyana is no stranger to
pageantry having entered the Antigua Barbuda Labour Queen Pageant in 2018
where she emerged the winner. This experience left an indelible mark in her life
and since then she has been involved in training other young women in the art of
pageantry. Thyana hopes to continue contributing to the preservation of our culture
through dance.
