The Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority (ABIA) is pleased to announce the launch
of the Organization of American States (OAS) Women’s Economic Empowerment
Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse is an online portal which provides access to women
entrepreneurs to online resources. The Clearinghouse is an initiative of the Economically
Empowered Women for Equitable and Resilient Societies Women’s Economic
Empowerment (WEE) funded through the OAS Executive Secretariat for Integral
Development.
The Clearinghouse is an online platform with a variety of resources, tools, best practices,
and spaces for engagement for women-owned and women-led MSMEs. The portal
provides an avenue by which women via the use of technology engage the necessary
resources to participate in the digital economy thereby directly impacting their lives and
by extension their respective economies. The portal allows for online learning at a self-
pace and has a community which is specifically developed to support women in all stages
of the business journey.
The Clearinghouse can be accessed at OAS WEE MSME Clearinghouse:
https://wee-msme-clearinghouse.com/   and it is open women entrepreneurs. The portal
allows for women entrepreneurs to openly engage in a safe space with specific resources
that enables the building of a network for women that prioritizes the concerns which are
distinctive to women and affects their participation in business. The portal provides
knowledge of and access to tools that are not readily or easily available.
The Authority takes this opportunity to invite all women entrepreneurs in Antigua and
Barbuda to actively engage in accessing the portal and exploring the opportunities
presented for their further and future development in business.
