The highly anticipated 8th edition of the National Secondary Schools’ Theatre Festival (NSSTF) is set to take center stage from April 22 to April 25, 2025, at the re-imagined exhibition hall at the Multipurpose Exhibition and Cultural Centre in Perry Bay. Hosted by the Department of Culture, this year’s festival will showcase the remarkable talents of Antigua and Barbuda’s young thespians and dancers, featuring performances from:

  • Jennings Secondary School
  • Princess Margaret School
  • Sir Novelle Richards Academy
  • St. Mary’s Secondary School
  • Antigua Girls’ High School
  • Ottos Comprehensive School
  • All Saints Secondary School
  • Irene B. Secondary School

Beyond the stage performances, participants will have the invaluable opportunity to engage in developmental workshops on April 19th, led by esteemed regional professionals and festival adjudicators:

  • Kevin Moore (Jamaica)
  • Deslyn Williams-Johnson (St. Kitts and Nevis)
  • Angelo Ascelles (Barbados

The festival will not only celebrate the artistry of emerging choreographers, playwrights and directors from Antigua and Barbuda but will also provide a platform for youth to refine their craft through mentorship and hands-on experience.

Each day of the festival will feature matinee and nightly performances, offering audiences a variety of compelling productions. The culmination of the event will be the much-anticipated awards ceremony on April 26th, recognizing outstanding performances and contributions to the theatrical arts.
