One of the top hotel brands that currently operates properties in Antigua and
Barbuda, Sandals Antigua Grande Resort, is reporting that it experienced a record
year in 2023.
Newly appointed General Manager, David Latchimy, who made the disclosure,
said the company anticipates that this performance will continue into 2024.
“We had an incredible year in 2023, a record year for the company, and with our
future developments we are anticipating greater success in 2024 and beyond. We
have been running very healthy occupancy levels throughout last year and you will
see this resort has been a favourite of many travelers,” he further reported.
He added that the rate of returning guests is quite high and in addition, the
company continues to attract more and more new visitors to the island. “I have
seen it where many of our returning gusts see this resort as being their ‘home away
from home’,” he noted.
Latchimy announced that Sandals Antigua Grande will undergo what he described
as ‘re-imagining’ with a substantial investment into upgrading the property. This
development is in store for some time this year. He revealed that the company is
currently finalizing plans for the upgrade.
