Popular soca-artist, Ricardo Drue, who died suddenly on December 12, 2023, is to
be laid to rest today after a funeral service at the Holy Family Cathedral on
Michael’s Mount.
Family sources say the funeral service will start at 1:00 pm and it is expected to
attract not only family and friends but also members of the entertainment fraternity
of Antigua and Barbuda and perhaps from further afield.
Drue was a popular artist who was a fixture at Carnival events and he even had his
own show forming part of the official Carnival programme over the last two years.
His death sent shockwaves throughout Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of the
region.
