Minister of Social and Urban Transformation, Rawdon Turner continues to explores ways to improve the vending situation at Woods Centre, close to the Woods Pond.
On Monday, Minister Turner convened a meeting with the hardworking vendors who operate in the Woods Pond area.
He described the meeting as a very productive and positive discussion, while expressing his appreciation to the vendors for their openness, ideas, and most importantly, their full support for the government’s planned intervention to improve the current conditions in the area.
“The vendors shared our vision for a cleaner, safer, and more organized space that reflects the pride we all have in our community. They understood the importance of upgrading the site and are eager to play their part in the transformation.
“I also held discussions with the current owner of the land, who has likewise pledged full support for the initiative. This alignment between Government, vendors, and landowner is a critical first step in ensuring that we can move forward together to regularize operations and uplift the overall look and feel of Woods Pond,” Minister Turner reported.
This is what partnership looks like — and this is how we build a better Antigua & Barbuda, one space at a time, Minister Turner stated.
