Monday 12th August, 2019-A Potters resident is shot by an unknown assailant and the police are appealing to residents in the area who may have information to assist them in solving the crime.
47 year-old Victor Michael Solomon popularly known as “Six” is now nursing a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
According to police, around 8:45 this morning, a masked man exited a small vehicle, believed to be silver in colour and opened fire on Solomon.
The circumstances that led to the shooting are unclear. It is unknown exactly where and what the injured man was doing in the moments leading up to him being shot.
Solomon was rushed to Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) via ambulance where his condition is listed as stable. Police say they have recovered a number of 9mm spent shells from the scene.
Police are appealing to residents in the area who may have information that can assist them further in their investigations to immediately contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914.
