The police have confirmed that they are treating the death of a Golden
Grove resident as a ‘suspicious death’ which may be upgraded to a
homicide.
Informed sources say a post mortem examination will be carried out on
the body of the man – Oscar Reyes, 69, to determine definitively the
cause of death. The body was discovered around 3:30 on Monday
afternoon and several hours later a medical doctor performed the legally
required ‘pronouncement of death’ at the scene.
Reyes was a Phillipino national who reportedly lived alone at Golden
Grove.
The police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
