Friday 14th September, 2018-Prime Minister Gaston Browne has revealed there were 278 CIP applications for the first six months of 2018.

Tabling the report in the House of Representatives, the prime minister declared that approximately EC $ 90 million was yielded, which included fees paid to the Citizenship by Investment Unit.

The prime minister said though the figure is not what the government expects, he is satisfied that a decision taken last year has yielded some positive results.

Mr. Browne also spoke of the decision taken to add a component to the CIP that will fund the proposed fourth landed campus of the University of the West Indies.
