PM Chastises Countries That Do Little to Combat Climate Change

Monday 1st October, 2018-The effects of Climate Change and the unwillingness by major countries around the world to play their part in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions  has been described as an act of injustice by Prime Minister Gaston Browne.

Addressing world leaders last week at the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Antigua and Barbuda head of government stated that the failure on the part of contributors of greenhouse gases to admit to the effects their actions are having and the need for remedial action, are resulting in small states in the Caribbean and the Pacific being the greatest victims.

Prime Minister Browne reminded the General Assembly of the death and destruction caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria last year, and that despite pledges from the international community, much of it is yet to be delivered.
