Opposition Party Releases Mobile App
Thursday 1st March, 2018 – The United Progressive Party (UPP) has released its Mobile App, a key component in its “Delivering Hope” campaign.
In a statement, the opposition party stated that its UPP Antigua App is a social media platform that enables users to gather all pertinent information about the United Progressive Party, its plans, and policies prior to the launch of the official party manifesto.
The party’s political leader, Harold Lovell noted that “Faced with a snap election the UPP will utilize this app to our advantage to get our message out quickly and to build momentum, in a more effective, measurable way. The app will be extremely effective in reaching the younger demographic and create more touchable connections between our constituents and our campaign,” Lovell noted.
Key features of the App will allow people to meet all the UPP candidates contesting the upcoming General Elections, as well as present the party’s TALENTS: Tourism, Agriculture, Land-Use, Education, National security, Technology and Social Programs agenda, highlighting the party’s intention to address the real needs of the country in these core areas.
The App also introduces users to the party’s Events calendar, Constituency news as well as feeds to the party’s other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
The UPP Political Leader added “The UPP Antigua App reflects the party’s strong technology focus and our vision to bridge the digital divide in Antigua and Barbuda as we continue to build on our E-Government platform to achieve greater efficiencies.”
