October Declared Health Month in Saint Paul’s
Monday 1st October, 2018-The Member of Parliament for St. Paul Constituency, Hon. E.P Chet Greene, has named October 2018 as ‘Health Month’ for the constituency during which much focus will be placed on the overall health and wellness of the residents.
During the month, screenings will take place to determine the health status of residents as it relates to several chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. There will also be tests for prostate, breast and other cancers as well as an eye clinic. Additionally, there will be ENT and dental clinics for children.
MP Greene has teamed up with health professionals, including Dr Jerry Simon, a team of doctors from the US, Caribbean Council for the Blind technicians as well as several medical students who will offer their services free to residents of St Paul.
Screenings will take place at the branch office in English Harbour, the Liberta Primary School and the Grace Hill Moravian Church. These will run throughout the month at those locations.
The representative is inviting all residents of St Paul to take advantage of these opportunities to be aware of their general health and wellness.
Meanwhile, a free eye clinic takes place at the constituency office in English Harbour on October 6 and 7 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
