The Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre has announced that it is excited to welcome Dr. Christopher Sulowski, Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to the team at the nation’s top medical facility.

Dr. Sulowski brings specialized training and experience in emergency care for children, ensuring the youngest patients receive the best possible treatment when they need it most.

“I am excited to join the Department of Pediatrics and contribute my international Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience to further Mount St. John’s mission of delivering the highest quality care. Together, we’ll continue promoting an exceptional standard of timely, compassionate care for the children of Antigua and Barbuda,” Dr. Sulowski stated.

He previously worked as a Clinical Physician at McMaster Children’s Hospital — dealing with Pediatrics, and Emergency Medicine. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, CAWAR, and Health Sciences, at McMaster University.

Dr. Sulowski is a Canadian who is married and is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Meanwhile, the SLBMC is putting the final touches to its annual symposium on cancer slated for October 4. “We’re bringing together leading experts in oncology, surgery, nutrition, and more — all in one space to share insights, research, and strategies for cancer care,” the SLBMC’s Marketing Department’s brochure indicated.

The hospital has urged all interested persons to register now as spaces are going fast.
