New Pipes to Plug Millions of Gallons In Leaks
Tuesday 3rd April, 2018 – A record two million gallons of potable water are wasted on a daily basis in Antigua and steps are being taken now to plug the situation.
Cabinet has decided to replace leaky, old pipes throughout the city of St. John’s.
Minister responsible for APUA, Sir Robin Yearwood says the replacement of the old water pipes, estimated at several millions of dollars will be undertaken virtually simultaneously with the re-paving of the road surfaces.
New sewerage pipes and conduits for electricity and telephones will also be undertaken.
