The executive of the National Youth Volunteer Corps on Thursday paid a courtesy on Ambassador Lionel Max Hurst, a noted historian, author and commentator on national affairs in Antigua and Barbuda.
President of the Volunteer Corps, Jahmaal Frederick explained that his group decided to honour Ambassador Hurst for his contributions to the recording of Antigua and Barbuda’s history through his several publications.
He said this activity forms part of the Volunteer Corps’ observation of Black History Month (February) under the theme: Bridging the generation: A black history tribute honouring Ambassador Lionel Max Hurst for his contributions and years of service to Antigua and Barbuda.
As a token of appreciation, Ambassador Hurst signed a copy of one of his books and presented it to the group.
