Murder accused Dexter Scotland made his first court appearance on Thursday to
answer the charge of murder filed against him by the police.
The Willikies man is charged with the death by shooting, of fellow villager 25-
year-old Jahfari Isaac.
The incident happened on June 4; Isaac died one week later in the hospital from his
wounds.
At his court appearance, the accused entered a plea of not guilty and was remanded
to His Majesty’s Prison.
The Police Administration is commending the general public for the assistance
provided to the police during the investigation and is also encouraging greater
support and partnership with the police.
The administration is also commending the hard work of the investigators involved
in the case.
This is the second homicide for the year, being investigated by the police.
