The Minister of Works is reporting that several of the ongoing construction
projects are at various stages of completion.
Minister of Works, Maria Browne has reported that work on the Renal Center at
the old Holberton Hospital compound is nearly complete. The Magistrate’s Court
on High Street is still under repairs; sufficient funding has been provided to
complete the renovations. The Fire Station and Police Station in Bolans are also
being refitted, with the Bolans Clinic requiring more attention before it can be
opened to the communities in the southern corridor.
Additionally, according to the minister, the Cobbs Cross clinic is nearly seventy-
five percent complete, and the refurbishment continues until it is ready to receive
clientele.
Minister Browne also reported that the Boys Training School is being upgraded.
Several businesses and social groups have expressed interest in contributing to the
reformation of the young men and the improvement of the facility.
The Minister is of the view that the spate of reported youth anti-social actions has
engendered the generosity expressed by these groups.
