Two educational institutions – one located in Five Islands and the other at Green
Bay – have been the recipients of fans to help both staff and students cope with the
excessive heat waves that have been affecting the country over the last several
weeks.
Community activist Michael Joseph, who made the donations, said he became
concerned, recognizing that the scorching summer heat continues to grip our
community and that learning under these conditions has become a challenge.
Against this backdrop, Joseph has stepped up to provide much-needed relief to the
students and staff of Five Islands and Greenbay Primary School with a generous
donation of fans. Joseph aims to assist in alleviating the discomfort caused by the
intense temperatures during these challenging times.

With his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the community, Joseph said
these fans will be strategically placed in classrooms, hallways, and communal
areas, ensuring that everyone can find some respite from the sweltering heat.
Michael Joseph firmly believes that every child deserves a comfortable learning
environment that promotes their well-being and productivity. By donating these
fans, he hopes to create a conducive atmosphere for the students to thrive
academically, despite the challenges posed by the summer heat.
