Medical Student Granted Bail In Hit and Run Case
Friday 27th April, 2018 –The medical student who is charged with dangerous driving and failing to report a traffic accident has had his matter adjourned until 3rd September, 2018 after he was granted bail.
Chirgeet Singh Biring appeared in traffic Court on Thursday afternoon and was granted bail by Magistrate Dexter Wason in the sum of $20,000 with a $ 5,000 cash deposit.
The 24 year-old Canadian, who resides at Utopia Park Apartments on Sir George Walter Highway, is alleged to have been the driver of a white Subaru Impreza motor car A49660 that struck and injured 41yr-old Gavin Crump of Upper Gambles. The incident took place in Coolidge in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Biring has been ordered to surrender his passport and driver’s license.
He is being represented by attorney Hugh Marshall Jr.
The medical student turned himself in to police on Monday accompanied by his attorney.
