Thursday 26th April, 2018 – The medical student facing charges of dangerous driving and failing to report a traffic accident was expected in court today (Thursday).

Police on Wednesday charged 24yr-old Chirjeet Singh Biring in Sunday’s hit and run traffic.

Biring, who resides at Utopia Park Apartments on Sir George Walter Highway, is alleged to have been the driver of a white Subaru Impreza motor car A49660 that struck and injured 41yr-old Gavin Crump of Upper Gambles. The incident took place in Coolidge.

Crump’s injuries resulted in him being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at MSJMC. His condition has since improved and he is now a patient in the male ward at the hospital.

Biring on Monday surrendered himself at Police Headquarters accompanied by his attorney.
