Massiah Justifies Creation of DNA
Wednesday 18th April, 2018 –On the first anniversary of the formation of their party, the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) is justifying its presence in politics in Antigua and Barbuda.
The party headed by former Member of Parliament Joanne Massiah emerged following Massiah’s expulsion from the United Progressive Party.
Speaking on Talking Point this morning, the DNA leader said the party’s decision to contest the recently concluded general election was based on several factors.
The DNA fielded thirteen candidates in the 2018 general elections, with pollster Peter Wickham stating in a post election analysis, that the party’s campaign was not successful, as more support was promised in February 2018 than that which materialised in March 2018.
Despite their first showing, Massish says she stands by her candidates.
