LIAT 2020 is expanding its flight network with its inaugural flight to Georgetown
Guyana on Tuesday.
The flight included officials from the government, the airline along with tourism
officials. Prime Minister Gaston Browne, who traveled to Guyana to participate in
a CARICOM meeting, was among the dignitaries aboard the flight to Guyana.
PM Browne was presented with a token of appreciation by the management of
LIAT 2020 as it makes its inaugural flight to Georgetown.
Since taking to the skies earlier this year, LIAT 2020 has been aggressively
expanding its flight network that includes most of the countries once served by its
now defunct predecessor, LIAT 1974 Ltd.
Travelers and government officials across the Caribbean have been welcoming to
the new airline and all have wished it much success as it seeks to fill a need for a
reliable airline service for travelers in the region.
