Police and Customs agents intercepted a large shipment of ammunition at the Deep Water Harbour on Valentine’s Day.

During an operation carried out with the cooperation of both agencies, approximately 250 rounds of 9mm Luger rounds were discovered in a cardboard box.

The box was removed from the country’s main shipping port to Police Headquarters.

An investigation has been launched.

While no arrests have been made, police indicated late Wednesday that their investigation is being assisted by an unnamed person.
