Antigua and Barbuda has recorded its fifth murder so far this year, with the death
of Kenaka Ryan.
The 24-year-old died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre on Wednesday
afternoon, nine days after he and 20-year-old Nia Rose were shot multiple times, in
Green Bay.
Police say the duo was shot by unknown assailants sometime around 8:45 pm on
14 th August 2023.
Both Ryan and Rose were transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by
Emergency Medical Services. The 20-year-old woman underwent emergency
surgery but succumbed at approximately 11:35 pm
In the days after sustaining gunshot wounds, Kenaka Ryan’s condition was listed
as stable. But his health declined and the Jennings resident passed away.
Police are searching for the killer/s who committed the heinous crime and are
asking anyone who may have information that will aid in their investigation to
