Jets 2 won their latest match to move into third place in the women’s division standings of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association’s (ABAVA) Second Division Development League on Monday evening.

Jets 2 claimed their third win in five matches by snatching a 2-1 victory against Starz 2 Juniors in their keenly contested encounter at the indoor stadium at the YMCA Sports Complex.

It took Jets 2 an hour and 45 minutes to prevail 25-22, 28-30, and 15-13 against Starz 2 Juniors, who remain in second place in the nine-team round-robin league after suffering their third loss in six encounters.

Dynasty Queens 1 also snatched a 2-1 victory against their colleagues Dynasty Queens 2 to advance into fifth place in the women’s Division 2 standings.

Dynasty Queens 1 took an hour and five minutes to secure their 24-26, 25-14, 15-1 victory against Dynasty Queens 2 and secure their third win in five matches to move into fifth place.

Dynasty Queens 2 remain winless and in the cellar of the women’s second division league after suffering their sixth loss in as many games.

The ABAVA’s Division 1 league will resume with a double-header at the YMCA Sports Complex on Wednesday (today).

Reigning Women’s Division 1 champions Da Squad will meet Paragons at 6:45 pm, and Vernon G. Edwards High Flyerz will take on Pytonz in a Men’s Division 1 affair at 7:45 pm.

In another double-header on Thursday, Royal Cruisers will face Jets in the women’s first division at 6:45 pm, and reigning Men’s Division 1 champions Stoneville will clash with the Storming Lions at 7:45 pm.
