Issues Plaguing Admin Staff at ASC Being Addressed
Wednesday 20th March, 2019-The facilities manager within the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology says the concerns being expressed by the administrative staff at Antigua State College are genuine and they have begun taking steps aimed at bringing relieve to the employees.
For a second day, the administrative staff at the college staged a sit-in, protesting the unsuitable environment in which they are made to execute their functions.
Facilities Manager, Oral Evanson and contractors today visited the institution’s Golden Grove campus, where an assessment was conducted of the issues raised by employees.
Mr. Evanson said following the assessment, a scope of work will be compiled before assistance and funding are sought.
The administrative staff says the action taken does not involve politics; instead, it is out of concern for their health, safety and overall well being.
They are vowing to continue with their industrial action until they get results.
