Israeli National Secures Bail
Thursday 22nd February, 2018 –The Israeli man who was remanded to prison in connection with a wounding incident last month has secured bail.
A High Court Judge granted the 29 year-old one million dollars bail yesterday, with a cash component of EC $ 400,000, with one surety.
Among his bail conditions, he must report daily to the police station.
Ilya Romanov is accused of using a sharp object to wound 28yr old Ross Bloomfield of Dutchman’s Bay in his neck, during an alleged altercation in the Dockyard area last month. Bloomfield was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and continues to recover.
Police have charged Romanov with wounding with intent to murder.
