A Golden Grove Extension teenager will appear before the Magistrates’ Court as early as today to enter a plea after he was charged with the robbery of a St. John’s business place earlier this month.

Delarno Davis, 18, is accused of carrying out the daring daylight robbery of a Corn Alley variety store in which he made off with a quantity of items valued at $30,973.00.

Among the items stolen were one hundred and twenty-seven rings, five wrist watches, seven neck chains, fifteen pendants, two bracelets, two Amazon Fire Tablets, three mobile phones and cash.

It did not take police long to crack the case as an unmasked Davis was readily identifiable on the business’ security camera system.

Davis allegedly committed the robbery on 7th February, 2023 at about 3:30pm when, armed with a gun, he coerced the owners into fulfilling with his damands.

Police have not disclosed whether any of the stolen items were recovered at the time of Davis’ arrest.

Davis is expected to appear before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh.
