Fort Road men arrested following machete attack

Two Fort Road residents are now in police custody and await charges for a
wounding incident that took place in the village on Monday afternoon.
According to reports, the two men whose names have yet to be released jumped
out of a rental Vitz on Penny Lane.
One of the assailants who was armed with a cutlass then began attacking 24-
year-old Anthony Joseph also of Fort Road while he was walking to a nearby
supermarket with his girlfriend.
A viral video shows a portion of the attack where Joseph can be seen trying to
run away from the masked assailant.
Bystanders can be seen intervening at some point, and it was then that the two
men made their escape.
Joseph however received injuries to his head and left hand and is being treated
at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
The two men were however identified to the police and were later arrested and
await charges.
