The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a nation-wide appeal for volunteers to
assist with the many aspects of the upcoming Small Islands Developing States
(SIDS) 4 th conference slated to take place in Antigua and Barbuda at the end of
May.
In a media release, the ministry said it is thrilled to extend an invitation for persons
to be part of the United Nations 4th International Conference on Small Island
Developing States, to be held under the theme "Charting the Course Toward
Resilient Prosperity", scheduled to take place from 27-30 May 2024 in Antigua
and Barbuda.
“The Ministry welcomes individuals aged 18 and over from diverse backgrounds
and experiences and with a range of skills. Volunteers will not only contribute to
the seamless execution of the conference but will also benefit from a life-
transformative experience, opening doors to numerous opportunities and
connections. As we aim to create an impactful and successful event, the
Ministry recognizes the invaluable contribution of dedicated volunteers,” the
media release stated.
Persons wishing to apply are invited to scan a QR Code for details of the
programme and the critical roles of the volunteer in the making of a successful
conference.
